July 5th: Movies in the park – Dunbar Park

Movies in the park is an awesome summer long activity in Chicago.  On July 5th it gets even better with Wonder Woman.  Pack a cooler and some snacks because you’re in for an evening of greatness with the best movie to come from Marvel in 2017.  Oh and did we mention it’s free?

July 6th: Cindy’s Rooftop + Grant Park Orchestra

On a Friday night there’s no better place to be than Cindy’s Rooftop for a cool summer cocktail.  The best part of Cindy’s is the view of Millennium and the Jay Pritzker Pavillion.  On July 6th you’ll have a free concert in sight and you don’t even have to rush down into the traffic of people.  Check on the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus from afar with a cocktail in hand.

July 7th: West Fest

The legendary Paul Johnson is set to take the #WestFest2018 stage. How did we become worthy of such an honor?!

Posted by West Fest on Friday, June 15, 2018

West Fest is the one of the most popular street festivals in Chicago, and there are A LOT of Chicago street fests.  This year is expected to be even more insane than the last.  The stage is set with highly anticipated performances and it’s another excuse to keep the celebration from the 4th rolling into the weekend.  Take a look at the line up.

July 8th: Pizza & Chill

Bonci is the newest pizzeria to pop up in the West Loop and Wicker Park.  They came all the way from Rome to share their unique Roman style pizza, including the freshest of ingredients and unique crust.  I have to admit, it is so good that it might even beat our local claim to fame, the dish deep pizza.

By the end of 4th of July weekend we are all tired, probably hungover, and really need some pizza & chill time.  You can pick Bonci up in shop at either locations or even better, stay on the couch and order with Postmates.
